25 beauties vie for 2014 Limgas na Pangasinan title

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Twenty-five lovely and smart ladies from various municipalities and cities in the province aspiring to be the Pangasinan’s ambassadress of goodwill faced off for the title of Limgas na Pangasinan this year.

 

Marilou Utanes, provincial treasurer and chair of Limgas na Pangasinan 2014, said the province-wide beauty search aims to produce the most capable women who will contend in national beauty contests and promote the province’s tourism.

 

“For this year’s search, we have changed some requirements in height and weight,” she said.

 

Pangasinan women are intelligent and it will be an edge for them in the national competition. They are the pride of Pangasinan,” said Utanes.

 

The semi-finalists were formally presented to the members of the press on Monday at the Urduja House. Media representatives later chose the “Darling of the Press” among the attractive candidates.

 

Jacquiline Macatiag, 22 years old and a resident of Sual town, bagged the title as she displayed great charm and wit to the mediamen who evaluated the contestants for the award.

 

This year’s candidates are: Mae Kathleen Salvaleon (Tayug), Princess Khrista Ventura (Sison), Marimar Arandia (Dagupan City), Mary Joy Veras (Bugallon), Iren Badion (Burgos) Apple Joy Bacay (Alaminos City), Marielle De Vera (Binmaley) Danielle Joy Tolentino (Alaminos City), Justine Veronica Roque (Bolinao), May Averence Hortaleza (Dagupan City), Cindy Tomelden (Sta. Barbara), April De Guzman (Binmaley), Sunshine Escat (Urdaneta City), Marienne De Guzman (Lingayen), Angela Dayag (Asingan), Jacquiline Macatiag (Sual), Allysa Ashley Calimli m (Villasis), Jefferlyn Perez (Bayambang), Carla Exclamador (Lingayen), Sheena Cabagui (Urdaneta City), Divina Tanda (Alaminos City), Yaldene Ferrer (Lingayen), Marla Razon (Calasiao), Crystal Kim Mararac (Dagupan City) and Almarie Quintos (Anda).

 

The candidate who bags the title will also romp away with P100,000 cash followed by the first runner-up with P70, 000 and P50,000 for the second runner up.
