BADOC, Ilocos Norte, January 10 (PIA) – Ilocos Region’s most wanted man was nabbed in an entrapment operation in Barangay Napu here after New Year’s Day.
Senior Insp. Leonardo Tolentino, Badoc town’s police chief, said Silvano Rondal alias Bobot, a native of Barangay Napu, Badoc town, was arrested last January 2 by the joint elements of local police and Criminal Investigation and Detection Groups (CIDGs) from Ilocos Sur and La Union.
Rondal, who had a P250,000-bounty, was charged in court with murder, illegal possession of firearms and gun ban violation.
The suspect was listed as ‘most wanted person’ in the regional level with P250,000 monetary reward.
Tolentino said the arresting team was led by Chief Inspector Modesto Cabrera, CIDG head of Ilocos Sur, by virtue of an arrest warrant against issued by Judge Leo Rapatalo of RTC, Branch 54, in Alaminos City, Pangasinan.
The arresting team brought Rondal to the office of Ilocos Sur CIDG for proper documentation.
Records also showed Rondal has pending cases for illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions, and violation of COMELEC Resolution No. 2323 or gun ban, all filed at RTC, Branch 55 and 54 in Alaminos City, Pangasinan. (MCA/FGL PIA-1 Ilocos Norte)
