DAGUPAN CITY, May 6 (PIA) – President Aquino said Pangasinan had been a consistent recipient of national projects because the province’s leaders and residents made them happen.
On his second visit here since March, the President met a crowd of 5, 000 composed of candidates, national and local officials, political leaders and supporters from Districts 3, 5 and 6 last Thursday at the Cultural and Sports Center in Urdaneta City.
Aquino mentioned some of the government services which benefit Pangasinenses such as the improved Agno River Basin Flood Forecasting and Warning System and the new Agno River Flood Forecasting and Warning Center, launched in 2011, as part of the calamity preparedness program of Pangasinan.
“Sa pamamagitan nito, mabibigyan ng maagang babala ang mamamayan sa mga lugar na maaaring tamaan ng malakas na baha at ng bagyo,” (Through this, early warning is given to people living in places that could be hit by strong flood and typhoon) said Aquino.
The President also said he opened the new emergency room complex at Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City to deliver quality health care to its patients.

“Sa tulong ng mga makabuluhang proyektong ito, aagos ang maayos na serbisyo’t oportunidad para sa Pangasinan,” (With the help of these significant projects, services and opportunities will flow well for Pangasinan), the President said.
He pointed out that all these opportunities for growth would not have been possible without the help of the people.
“Kayo ang gumawa nito,” (You made this possible), said Aquino.
