DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan, March 18 (PIA) – Two towns in the province will experience an eight-hour power outage on Tuesday, March 19 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In a statement, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said the scheduled power interruption will affect the towns of Sison and San Fabian.
Lilibeth Gaydowen, NGCP’s regional corporate communication and public affairs officer for North Luzon, said parts of La Union Electric Cooperative (LUELCO) will conduct preventive and corrective line maintenance along Bauang – San Fabian 69kV transmission line.
She said it was LUELCO which identified the towns that will be affected by the power interruption based on the distribution utility’s maintenance needs.
“The utility allots the available power within its franchise area and implements the power interruption schedule among the end-users,” Gaydowen said.
She said normal operations will immediately resume after work completion. The NGCP advised its customers and the general public affected by the interruption to take the necessary preparations and precautions. (MCA/AM-PIA1, Pangasinan)
