LAOAG CITY, March 13 (PIA) –At least seven towns in the province will experience a four-hour power outage on March 16 from 8a.m.- 12 nn.
In a statement, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said the scheduled power interruption will affect the towns of Pasuquin, Burgos, Bangui, Pagudpud, Adams, Dumalneg and parts of Bacarra.
Lilibeth Gaydowen, NGCP’s regional corporate communication and public Affairs for North Luzon, said the Northwind Power Development Corporation (NWPDC) requested the power cut for them to conduct line maintenance along the Laoag-Bangui line.
She said it was Northwind which identified the towns that will be affected by the power interruption based on the distribution utility’s maintenance needs.
“The utility allots the available power within its franchise area and implements the power interruption schedule among end-users,” Gaydowen said.
She said normal operations will immediately resume after work completion. The NGCP advised its customers and the general public affected by the interruptionto take the necessary preparations and precautions. (MCA/CJDG-PIA 1 Ilocos Norte)
