SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union, Jan 31 (PIA) — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) will go after high impact value drugs and high impact targets.
PDEA Region 1 PIO Chief Bismarck Bengwayan said the agency has renewed its resolve to implement the anti-drug law with a more united and organized system of fighting illegal drugs nationwide.
All operating units were given orders by PDEA Director-General Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr. to go after drug syndicates and personalities in the priority target list, dismantle clandestine laboratories and chemical warehouses, control chemical diversion, and confiscate significant volume of dangerous drugs or controlled precursors and essential chemicals, Bengwayan said.
Bengwayan echoed Director-General Cacdac’s words saying that the PDEA hopes to establish an anti-drug blueprint that will prove to be effective and responsive and likewise create doable solutions to the drug problem, in compliance to the operational directive of the President for the agency to make significant dents against the illegal drug trade.
Bengwayan also said that they were strictly reminded by the agency head to conduct well-planned and well-documented operations done in accordance with the provisions of the anti-drug law to ensure air-tight cases against drug offenders, leading to their incarceration and conviction.
