LAOAG CITY, Jan. 24 (PIA) — Mayor Michael V. Fariñas announced the extension in the city’s operation of the business one-stop-shop in Laoag.
From its original cut-off date of January 20, the city government will be extending their service until the 30th of this month.
“We want to provide business owners ample time to secure licenses and renew them to avoid accumulation of penalty,” Farinas said.
The business one-stop-shop which started on January 1 provides a speedy and more convenient business licensing application process.
This will facilitate faster transaction in applying and renewing business permits through an integrated system called Business Permit License System (BPLS) introduced by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
National agencies like PhilHealth, Social Security System, and Bureau of Internal Revenue are in attendance for the one-stop-shop licensing program. Also present are local bodies like city health office, fire department, governor’s office, and others for the validation and issuance of clearances.
The business one-stop-shop is in line with DTI’s program where business owners can have their application and renewal for their license faster. (ANL/CDG-PIA 1, Ilocos Norte)
