DAGUPAN CITY, Jan 16 — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is seeking for college graduates who may want to take the Fire Officer Examination on March 10.
Documentary requirements (ID, pictures) for the examination are the same as the Career Service Examination (CSE).
Qualifications are also the same as the CSE, except for age and physical requirements, where applicants must be at least 1.62 meters (5’4”) high for male, or 1.57 meters (5’2”) for female.
A waiver for height requirement shall be automatically granted to applicants belonging to cultural communities subject to submission of certification of membership to a cultural community issued by the National Commission on Indigenous People.
The applicants must also weigh not more than five kilograms from the standard weight corresponding to their height, age and sex.
On the date of application, the applicants must not be younger than 21 nor be older than 30 for private employees, nor be older than 45 for civilian employees of the Bureau of Fire Protection, incumbent government employees and those with previous government service.
Examination fee is P700.
Deadline of application is on January 24.
The examination will cover general ability: verbal, analytical and numerical (25 percent); and specialized area: fire suppression, fire safety and prevention, fire investigation and administrative matters (75 percent).
Passing rate is 80 percent.
