SAN FERNANDO CITY, LA Union, Sept 29 (PIA) — The Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) has extended the deadline of submission of application for the 2012 PNP Academy Cadet Admission Test (PNPACAT) for the fourth year Bachelor of Science in Public Safety Class 2017 from September 24 to October 1.
An applicant must be a natural born Filipino citizen and of good moral character, no financial obligations, single and no parental obligation, 17 to 21 year old at the time of admission, preferably 5 feet 4 inches in height for male while 5 ft 2 inch for female except for indigenous people, not more than or not less than five kilograms of the standard weight corresponding to height, age and sex to be admitted.
He or she must also be able to pass the minimum required physical fitness exercises, physically and mentally fit for cadetship training, have no criminal, administrative or civil case and other derogatory record/s, must not be a former cadet of PNPA or other service academies and at least high school graduate.
According to PNPA, qualified applicants may secure PNPACAT forms at PNPA registrar’s office, Philippine Public Safety College, PPSC Regional Training Schools, Offices of PNP, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Philippine Information Agency,Local Government Units, PNPA alumni and at selected universities nationwide or can be downloaded at http://www.pnpa.edu.ph.
Filled out documents may either be submitted personally or mailed to the Office of the Registrar, PNPA Camp Castaneda, Silang Cavite for initial evaluation, PNPA said.
Once qualified, the applicant will receive an admission notice to take PNPACAT on a scheduled date, time and venue or might visit the PNPA website for verification, PNPA said.
Successful examinees will receive a Notice to Report on the scheduled date, time and place for processing/ documentation, PNPA added.
Meanwhile, the scope for the examination will include communication skills, logical and reasoning ability, math and sciences, general information and current events and values and aptitude for the service.
The examination will be held on October 28 and at 29 test centers nationwide. For region 1, the test will be conducted in Vigan City and Dagupan City.
