Grid corp skeds 9-hour power outage

DAGUPAN CITY, Sept 8 (PIA) — The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) announced the scheduled shutdown of some of its transmission facilities in parts of Sison town and San Fabian town for nine hours on Monday, September 10.

Power will be interrupted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to facilitate commercial operation of 100-megavolt ampere (MVA) transformer and its related equipment at Bauang Substation said Lilibeth Gaydowen of NGCP

The affected distribution utility includes the La Union Electric Cooperative (LUELCO).

Specific municipalities to be affected by the power interruption are determined by the above-mentioned Distribution Utility (DU), unless the activity affects the entire franchise area.

The DU allots the available power within its franchise area and implements the power interruption schedule among the end-users.

NGCP’s customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption.

Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion. (ANL/MHH-PIA 1 Pangasinan)
