SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union, July 9 (PIA) — Two staff officers from the Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) received the “Medalya ng Kasanayan” for their exemplary and dedicated service during the flag ceremony at Camp Brigadier General Oscar M. Florendo Parian here.
PRO1 Police Supt. Jovencio Suriben Badua Jr. said outgoing chief of regional comptrollership division, PSSupt. Antonio P. Mendoza Jr. and PSSupt. Angelito D. Dumangeng received their awards from Region 1 police director, Chief Supt. Franklin Jesus B. Bucayu.
Badua said Mendoza thanked all the PRO1 personnel that he had worked with since 2010 and expressed his gratitude to the leadership of PRO1, during his farewell message.
On the other hand, Dumangeng was promoted to a permanent status under General Order No. 1034, effective June 13. PCSupt. Roman A. Felix, deputy regional for administration, administered the pinning of rank insignia and oath-taking.
Dumangeng received the confirmation as Chief of the Regional Operations and Plans Division.
Badua said Dumangeng expressed his gratitude during his speech to Bucayu and Felix for entrusting the position that eventually led him to his promotion.
“He served as chief of police in various towns in the province and was the Deputy Provincial Director for Administration of La Union Police Provincial Office prior to his reassignment to the regional headquarters,” he said.
He had as well previous time in Mindanao after a year of service in the United Nations Mission in East Timor”, Badua added.
Meanwhile, the PRO1 gave also plaque of recognition and appreciation to its stakeholders that include Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos, National Intellegence Coordinating Council, San Roque Power Plant and others for their support in the achievement of effective and efficient crime solution in the region.(ANL/MHH PIA1 La Union with reports from PRO1)
