Each of the beneficiaries received P1,500 or a monthly stipend of P500, said DSWD Region 1 Director Marcelo Nicomedes J. Castillo. Recipients are senior citizens are at least 77 years old, who have no regular support or pension.
He also said that automatic replacement during pay-out is no longer accepted. Rather, the list of waiting eligible senior citizens is to be assessed and verified for submission to the regional office for approval and funding.
